Jiacheng Sun is a scenic designer, scenic artist, properties designer and leader. As a creator and explorer, she is pursuing an MFA Dramatic Art in Scenic Design with an full Teaching Assistantship at Purdue University, West Lafayette, beginning in 2024 and expected to graduate in 2027. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Design, Production, and Technology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Spring 2024, along with a Minor in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus in Economics.

孙佳程是一名舞台布景设计师、绘景艺术家、道具设计师和负责人。作为一位创作者与探索者，她现就读于普渡大学西拉法叶分校舞台美术硕士（MFA）项目，并获得全奖助教奖学金，预计于2027年春季毕业。 她于2024春季在伊利诺伊芝加哥大学获得戏剧设计，制作，和技术的学士学位，以及在经济学辅修学位。

    In the summer of 2024, as an active designer and explorer, she worked and studied at Studio Kloak, where she gained her first in-depth experience and prize in the field of furniture design. In the summer of 2025, she joined Stagedoor Manor as a scenic artist, approaching works with the perspective of a scenic designer. She completed and collaborated on multiple productions, earning the title “Ray of Sunshine for always being cheery." from her team.

After enrolling in the MFA Scenic Design Program at Purdue University in the fall 2024, she quickly joined the Purdue Theatre production team. She participated in the production of “Dead Man’s Cell Phone”, and served as Scenic Painter and Props Leader for “Merry Sherry Presents: Frekstain” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” During her graduate studies, she completed the scenic designs for “Gloria” and “Horse Girls” as the scenic designer. In the coming months, she will continue expanding her experience by serving as Props Leader for "The Snow", Assistant Scenic Charge for "Galinthias", and Assistant Scenic Designer for "Our Town".

           In 2019, she interned at the Poly Theatre in Beijing, joining the run crew for An American in Paris presented        by Broadway Asia (New York City). Later, she participated in the University of Chicago’s Windmill Drama production of "Proof" during the fall season. In 2023, Sun served as the Assistant Stage Manager for "Smart People". with the director and playwriter, Lydia R. Diamond. In her early years, she actively expanded her artistic interests by studying opera, dance, and broadcasting, which provided her first exposure to the stage. In 2016, she began exploring stage performance by participating in two international vocal competitions and performing at the Winners Concert at Carnegie Hall. Her repertoire included "Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute)" by Mozart and "O mio babbino caro (Oh My Dear Papa)"by Puccini. During this period, her aspiration to study in the United States began to take shape.

         2019年，她在北京保利剧院实习，加入了百老汇亚洲公司（纽约）制作的音乐剧《一个美国人在巴黎》的演出运 行团队。同年秋季，她参与了芝加哥大学风车剧社的戏剧《求证》制作。2023年，Sun担任了《聪明人》的助理舞台监督，与导演兼导师Lydia R. Diamond（莉迪娅·R·戴蒙德）一起。在早期的学习阶段，她积极拓展自己的艺术兴趣，学习歌剧、舞蹈和播音主持，并因此首次接触舞台。2016年，她通过参加两场国际声乐比赛并登上卡内基音乐厅“获奖者音乐会”的舞台，开始探索舞台表演。她演唱的曲目包括莫扎特的《魔笛》和普契尼的《哦，我亲爱的爸爸》。在那段时间里，她萌生了美国留学的愿望
